For 20 to 30 years it has been a dream of mine to travel to Alaska to see some of the most impressive sites nature can muster, it it did not disappoint!
Travel with a group of good friends - Highly recommended
On May 24th, my wife Jennifer and I boarded the Disney Cruise Line's Disney Wonder with eight other friends... and this is my first recommendation! If you are going on a cruise, try to get as many of your favorite friends to go with you. It made the trip far more entertaining when you never knew what corner you would turn and see people you know. We have traveled with others before but never such a large group that represented couples from two different families and individuals from four other households.
Now, we did not do everything together, certainly not in the beginning as some members in our group were not as well acquainted as others but by the end of the nine night cruise we were inseparable! Every night we joined each other for dinner at the same table and shared stories and pictures long after many of the other diners had left the restaurant. Many times after dinner we all went to evening cabaret shows and adult events happening in the clubs along Route 66, the adult only after 9:00 PM area of the ship. It made it a lot of fun to have everyone together for the last night of the cruise for the famed pub skit.
When you are traveling with others you can attach your reservations and this must be done BEFORE the cruise starts. In the web site where one manages their reservations there is a place to associate a cruise with another reservation number. On the web site there is a limit of eight individuals per set of reservations but a phone call to Disney Cruise Line will allow even more connections. It just has to be done manually by Disney agents.
